Well, I must tell you that this was my best Frankford H.S. 50th Reunion!! animWink.gif - 671 Bytes From the minute we walked in and most were kidnapped to have their individual photos taken, to leaving and seeing Jim Davis's 1956 Ford driving down the driveway!

Not only did I see good friends and casual friends, and those who only waved and said Hi at FHS, but those who were entirely new faces to see. There was more smiling, hugging and laughing than I've seen in many a year! There were people leaning over to see your nametag, and others surrepticiously trying to sneak a look at it, to see if you were someone they knew. And if you weren't, you usually wound up getting to know them. I truly don't know when I have had a more wonderful day.

Then there were *The Others.* (:D That is my Dear One's title for all those who are married to FHS grads, and are from other schools. Of course, he is one! We made so many great new friends among them - Bob Rainey's Nettie, Dave Williams' Elaine, Joan Jones' Jim, the husbands of all the Reunion committee who worked as hard or almost as hard as the committee members worked. Poor Jim, Joan Jones' husband - every time he was asked where he graduated from, and he responded *Northeast Catholic,* (and he was on the football team) the response was *Oh, we beat you on Thanksgiving in 1957,* and they all knew the score! Of course, that started conversations about the great Thanksgiving Day game each year - rain, cold, snow, whatever. Then, every time you turned around, someone was taking your photo, including me with my camera! It was a grand time.

There were no formal speeches, and very few introductions. The DJ played 50s music through it all. Laura Scott said a prayer while we honored those who have passed away. John George, and at times his wife Edie, did a fantastic job of moderating all the introductions and discussions. The highlight of this part of the evening, IMO, was The Great Debate. I will not go into detail as you had to be there to see it, but let it suffice to say that it started off with our Alma Mater and ended up with our Frankford High Fight Song!!! John George handled this debate with great grace and aplomb. animheadbangsm.gif - 904 Bytes

On Sunday, there was a wonderful brunch held at Laura Lee Scott and her husband Tony Visco's house. The good times continued for a few hours more. Thank you so much, Laura and Tony!

I am still receiving photos and being promised photos, so please check back every so often. Also, please don't hesitate to send any photos from the reunion to me. Send HERE. emrainbow.jpg - 1653 Bytes
